You're an everyday hero for Luis Negran, an Army veteran who served our nation in Desert Storm, found himself at Samaritan Village, a facility dedicated to servings veterans struggling from addiciton and/or homelessness. During his service, Luis suffered an injury to his leg and was heading into another surgery. But after a short while running with BoMF, the muscle around Luis’ injury had built up and surgery was no longer necessary. Luis has finished two marathons and has a list of other races as long as the day. He attended trainings with Back on My Feet like the TD Bank Financial Literacy courses and Accenture’s Tools for Success. All through our Next Steps program, BoMF was able to help him navigate Veteran supportive housing and get housing essentials through Financial Aid. He has his own place, is employed, and continues to push himself forward. He doesn’t miss Back on My Feet events, day or night, hot or cold. Oh, and you can guarantee that he’ll take a selfie or six while there. This holiday season, consider making a gift to Back on My Feet and help a member take flight. Be a hero today!
